It’s a frame of mind
Based in Cork, Rodari Eyewear is the brainchild of Deirdre and Taj Hussain. After their young daughter was prescribed glasses they had a vision of bringing high-quality frames with unique designs to the Irish market. Underwhelmed by the range of frames available for their active three year old, Deirdre and Taj decided to create a distinctive range of eyewear not only for the kids market, but targeting teens and adults too.
Since February 2012, Deirdre and Taj have immersed themselves in the world of eyewear, handpicking quality materials and working on creating a range of frames that tap into global eyewear trends. The couple have also visited their manufacturers where they spent time learning about the manufacturing process and selecting the perfect colours, designs and materials for their eyewear range. With a background in the sector, Taj has dedicated himself to ensuring the materials and “moving parts” of the frames are of the utmost quality, while Deirdre has used her flair for design to select a broad range of fresh colours and unique designs.
For Deirdre and Taj, Rodari Eyewear (made up of the first two letters of their three children’s names – ROisin, DAithi and RIain) – is not just a brand.
